News and Announcements / Re: New Board Theme!

The new Digimon-inspired theme looks great. Awesome job and delivery on it. ^.^

*Hell! It's freezing over!*

TDDQ: Have you watched the introductory, first televised season of the DIGIMON anime?

I was front and center that first year, and I've been hooked ever since. *Don't pull me away from the tube, I'm young and impressionable!*

A classic straight out of the gate and an instant rival to the extensive Pokemon (yes, I did go there) series, this show is the one anime that has me glued with no hopes of being separated from it. The memories are too strong and my bond with the franchise far too long.*Gutter alert, gutter alert*

It's goggles, a powerful partner, and an exciting journey or nothing! lol

TDDQ: Have you viewed the second season of Digimon Adventure (Jap.)/Digimon: Digital Monsters? (Eng.)

Sure did! The new generation's adventures (plus their updated D3 digivices!) were more than satisfying way back when, if only for one reason: that diabolical Digimon Kaizer/Emperor-turned-repentant-Digidestined Ken Ichijouji. He will forevermore be my favorite character, storyline-wise, from Zero Two, if you will.

Other favorites from the TV sequel were Arukenimon and Mummymon . . . and the first season's Digidestined appearing in it as older folks didn't hurt either. ^.^

TDDQ: Have you watched the third DIGIMON series entitled Digimon Tamers?

I have, and my favorite Digidestined/Digimon bond of friendship from this season lies with one Takato Matsuki and his Guilmon. They were just too much, as a human/partner combo. The series as a whole was fairly enjoyable, but friends Kazu and Kenta becoming Digidestined and acquiring their own D-Arcs/D-Powers and their own powerful Digimon was what sold it to me . . .

AND perhaps Jeri and her sock puppet. lol

Past Digimon Anime / Digimon Frontier (Season 4)

TDDQ: Has anyone ever watched the fourth season of DIGIMON entitled Digimon Frontier?

Despite the heavy fan-backlash it has received over the years, I thoroughly LOVED the humans-morph-into-digimon aspect of this program and wouldn't mind a sequel one day, really. The characters were engaging and were reasonably entertaining, so it is rightfully one of my favorites to this day, with respects to the English-language dubs.

Past Digimon Anime / Digimon Savers/Data Squad (Season 5)
« on: April 04, 2013 (05:12 PM) »
TDDQ: Has anyone ever gotten through the fifth DIGIMON series? I all but slogged through it up until the late 30's in episode number when Ravemon came in to LITERALLY save the day. I was all tuckered out until Keenan's (the boy raised by a Frigimon?) storyline thickened.

How was this season for everyone else?

Has anyone enjoyed a good bag of Ruffles lately? I know it's got tons of oil in it ("oh-al ah' say!") but it's one of those guilty pleasure treats.

They were deliciously unhealthy and I stand by my prior statement that, um . . . it has oil in it. ^.^

Xros Wars / Preferred Digi-Xros Forms . . .

TDDQ: Out of all the Xros Wars Generals' Digi-Xrosses, if you will, which forms are your favorite?

You could always make it Yamaora (for no other reason than to annoy Kazor).

Yamaora, yay! :D

General Gaming / Re: Pokemon X Version and Pokemon Y Version

What's Pearl? lol *I know*

I like the Water-based Froakie creature out of the three new-gen starter Pokemon, two of which look far too derivative for me to leap out of my seat, going, "OMG! I can't WAIT to press the START button!"

Here's hoping the 3D effects and enhanced environments in X & Y can hold the game-player's attention.

BTW The new Legendary Pokemon? All's I got to say is: can you croak, Froakie?

@Enaz: Whatever works. I am only here to offer help, Enaz, and to offer a suggestion that's no less valid than the next. No "I" in team as they say!

1.There's not that moderating that needs doing nowadays.

2. Except for you, Machina.  lol

1. @Enaz: Case and point? Maybe it's a good idea to reset the list, since the mods are still in power, but don't have to do their jobs? *Shrugs* I'll be doing that next cycle at [redacted] later this month. Dunno. Seems like a smart thing to do, personally . . .

2. I don't mind Machina. He provides balance. He's a genius, really. :)

You could cede your admin position to me, so I'll have twice as much power.  ^.^ ^.^

Now that's a good move. *ba-dum-bumppp!!*

Xros Wars / Re: Crossover Logic
« on: April 03, 2013 (05:07 PM) »
@KingBurgermon: Hope this is a bit glass-clearer. The crossover logic you speak of concerned the creators of DIGIMON XROS WARS having fun with a proposed time-travelling aspect regarding Season 3 and incoporating old characters into the fray for longtime viewers + a newer generation, which may have missed the first few seasons of Digimon Adventure/Digital Monsters, to enjoy.

Secondly, the characters being younger/older doesn't make or break the anime series as a whole; a typical Digimon series centers around the Digidestined, their Digimon, and their mission to safeguard the Human World/Digi-World/all other emcompassing realms/dimensions/what-have-you, with a few helpful guides/guardians often thrown in for good measure.

Furthermore, it is a common misconception that the third season of Xros Wars meant the end of DIGIMON. A lot of anime juggernauts are still going strong, so Digimon may simply be taking a break before emerging on the scene again to entertain their global audiences once again. Only time will tell, really. ^.^

If a show is still very much relevant, still gets picked up and televised nationally on a major network every time a newer series materiaizes, still catches the attention of foreign network execs, and still turns a major profit for its creators/producers/distributors to this day, it would almost seem nonsensical to end such a program, especially considering that DGMN is classified as a popular franchise that maintains a super-loyal fanbase.

I love it. Maybe the makers of the series are secretly . . . plotting something. *Hmm*
